SUNDAY JUNE 1 – INTRO DO CURANDERISMO LUPIA/CLEANSING RITES 1-3 PM
This class is an introduction to Limpia/Cleansing Rites based on Mesoamerican/Mexican Curanderismo. We will be discussing the different kinds of Limpia’s and their variations (Water, Fire, Herbs, etc.). In this class you will learn why Limpia’s were so sacred to our Ancestor’s AND are still very important today.
So, if you have ever been curious as to what are some Limpia Rites, such as a “Limpia de Huevo” (Egg Cleansing); which just so you know is one of MANY others, then this class is for you!
Keep in mind that this class is just an overview it will not be a detail class as to doing a Limpia itself. Again, there are so many different ones, and if you ever wanted to expand your knowledge & practice this will definitely poke your curiosity and have you thirst for more…..
My name is Sofia and I’m a modern-day Curandera/Energy Healing Practitioner and Teacher.
I was born within ‘the practice’ in a spiritually metaphysical friendly home/family. From a very young age my maternal grandmother, a Oaxaca indigenous native and sought out ‘Grandmother’ taught me how to connect with people, nature & spirit. I began sitting in on her readings and assisting at the age of about 8yrs old. Through the generational teachings of my family, past & current mentors and my constant search for spiritual/personal growth I blend a combination of different healing modalities to help address any physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. I am here to create a safe space where you can heal, feel seen, heard and valued.
