Meet Ivette. She is going to be holding this class every Wednesday night and once a month on the 3rd Sunday. We wanted to make sure it was quiet for you yoga class.
A note from Ivette, “I teach yoga as my way to give back to people from all the beautiful teachings that the practice of yoga has given to me. I want everyone to experience what this practice can do for thier minds. body and soul. I feel so grateful for all the beauty and easy that the yoga practice has brought me, I am grateful for all the teachers that I learned from. Their teachings were all so rich and special to me that I want to share my experience with all. ”
Ivette will be leading this is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures or asanas that are held for longer periods of time. Yin yoga is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature. A Yin yoga class consists of a series of long-held, passive poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. Using yin yoga helps in working to release/stretch these connective tissues gently.
Ivette will be adding sound healing with sing bowls, shruti box, native American flutes, gongs, and a beautiful ngoni; which makes this practice even more restorative, calming and soothing.
This is an ALL level Practice!
The benefits of Yin Yoga are:
• Calms and balances the mind and body
• Reduces stress and anxiety
• Increases circulation
• Improves flexibility
• Releases fascia and improves joint mobility
• Balances the internal organs and improves the flow of chi or prana
(Class is limited to 12 people)
Please RSVP Ivette at firstname.lastname@example.org so she knows you are attending.
You may pay in cash at the shop Saturday’s and Sunday’s between 10-6.
